What an incredible time at Traquair House, Scottish Wedding for Pamela and Martin.

Traquair House Scottish Wedding

The wedding

Such a stunning setting and right on my doorstep!
They had a downpour just before their outdoor ceremony. Taking place in the Walled Gardens.  But the sun soon came out!

Congratulations to the newlyweds. And their gorgeous little boys Harvey & Jacob.
Jacobs’s kilt was a little too big for him. By the end of some photos, he just let it fall. As he was having too much fun! 😂 🥰

Enjoy your memories Mr & Mrs Curran.
Traquair House Scottish Wedding

The Venue

Welcome to Traquair, Scotland’s Oldest Inhabited House. Visited by 27 Scottish Kings and Queens. Traquair dates back to 1107. And has been lived in by the Stuart family since 1491.

Originally a royal hunting lodge. Traquair played host to Mary Queen of Scots. And later as staunch Catholics they supported the Jacobite cause without counting the cost.

They have their own Catholic chapel. Plus a license for civil ceremonies. You can be married in the house or in some of the magical areas on the grounds.

Smaller more intimate receptions can be held.  Either in the main house or they can erect a marquee.  This is either in front of the house or in the old walled garden for larger weddings.
