Here are my Top 10 Tips to Help with wedding stress.  We all know that in the lead-up and on the day it can be a stressful time.  Hoping these can help you along your way.

Top 10 Tips to Help with wedding stress
Break in your wedding shoes

This might sound like one you know but it is so important.  You do not want aching feet during the day, ruining some of your mood.  So plan some time to break in the shoes beforehand.
Also, make sure you add an extra pair of shoes in case your feet need a break that suits your wedding style.

Delegate, delegate, delegate...

And delegate some more lol.  You will never be able to do everything yourself and if you can have a list of people whom you have delegated tasks, this will help so much.  Put someone in charge of helping the photographer find people for the group photos, and assign another person to be the keeper of your phone.  You could even assign someone to help your guests find their seats if needed (this one can help things go smoothly).

Stock up on water and snacks

For some of the wedding you will find your racing from one place to another.  Making sure you have water and snacks avalible to keep you hydrated and going can help.  Get one of your guests who always has a big handbag to store them for you.  Or ask your photographer to keep some on them (we are usually around you a lot).

Pack an emergency kit

We all hope everything will go smoothly.  But putting together a small emergency kit can really help on the day if a small thing happens.

Things to include – Mini sewing kit, breath mints, scissors, pens, pain killers, and hair spray. Also anything else you can think of too.

Tips for Brides to Be

SCHEDULE some alone time with your new hubby

The wedding day can go with a blurr and before you know it you spent most of the time with your guests.  But none with your New Hubby.  Yep, you have the whole honeymoon to go, but you will want some memory of time together on the day.

Schedule at least one moment where you two can take time to just be together.

Indulge in well-deserved pampering

Book some time before the wedding to have some well-deserved pampering.  Book time in a spa maybe a massage.  If that’s not your thing you could take a day out to do something you love – paddle boarding,  a day at the beach, a walk in the woods or a meal at your favorite restaurant.  Something that takes you out of the stress in the lead-up.

Get a good night's sleep

This I know can be a hard one.  Especially if you are a worrier or super excited.

But plan everything you need to have a good night’s sleep the night before.  It is going to be a long day, where you are constantly on the go.  A good night’s sleep sets you up perfectly for the day ahead.

Get a wedding planner or co-ordinator

It can be really helpful to have a planner.  You won’t need to spend hours on the phone with various suppliers.  The planner will do all the confirming.   They will help with anything that comes up last minute too.  So you have the support you can often need in the lead up.

Plan a date night/day

In the run-up to the wedding, it can be easy to get lost in the planning and not really enjoy any couple time.

So take out the diary now and pick an evening or a day for some couple time.  Just to enjoy each other and ban the wedding talk for that time.   Catch a movie, book a dinner or just do something you both love together.

Share your wedding timeline

It is a great idea to make sure you share your wedding timeline with the bridal party and family members.  You don’t want to be searching for the groomsmen just as the wedding is going to start.  Or have to search for Aunty Ivy when the group photos are taking place.

It’s a great idea to share all the important times and the bridal party can help you keep track throughout the day.  Taking a weight off you to always notice what the time is.

Your photographer and venders will of course help you to keep on track too.

I hope these Top 10 Tips to Help with wedding stress have given you some great ideas, and that you have the best wedding day.
