What a  lovely day for Phalice (Philip & Alice are known by their friends and family).  The Priory in Coldingham Wedding and on to the family farm for the rest of the celebration.

The wedding

We had sunshine of the hottest variety, we had a beautiful church ceremony in The Priory in the stunning little village of Coldingham, then back to Alice’s dad’s farm for some photos and drinks in the sun!

They had made their Lambing Shed into the “Lamb-Inn” pub which was such a cool touch and Alices step mum sang her own made up rendition of “Who the F**k is Phalice” during the speeches which had the whole place in stitches.

Congratulations to these two for a cracking fun day which is exactly what they wanted, everyone on that dancefloor at night giving it their all!!!

As you will see from these frames it was a blast and thank you for choosing me to capture it!!! ❤️

The Venue

Coldingham Priory itself was founded in 1098. By Edgar, King of Scots and son of Malcolm Canmore and St Margaret. In gratitude to Almighty God for recovering his kingdom from Donald Bane, his uncle, who had usurped it at his father’s death.

Outside of the church building the grounds have been transformed into a community garden with a monastic them. Concentrating on plants with culinary, medicinal, and aromatic properties. There are also interpretation boards, explaining the function and history of the Priory.

Thanks to a Heritage Lottery-funded restoration project. The Priory remains have been cleaned and consolidated.   Information panels around the site now help tell the fascinating history.
