It’s the night before your wedding, maybe you have wedding jitters. Or maybe you are just feeling excited. Either way its a great idea to look after yourself the night before. Here are some ideas of things to do.
Get a good nights sleep
We all know this is recommended every night of the year. But its even more important the night before your wedding (you don’t want to be tired tomorrow). Try and get yourself to bed and under the covers before midnight strikes.
Watch or read something that will make you laugh
Take your mind off your jitters by enjoying a favorite film or book. Something that makes you laugh is best. It will lighten your mood and help you to relax before you sleep.
Walking in your shoes
It is the last chance to practice walking or breaking in those shoes.
Attempt walking in a straight line, and also blast out some of your favorite music and dance in them.
Eat a healthy meal
Although it can be tempting to order a take-way, have a giant pizza and lots of chocolate. You don’t want to wake up the next day having a food hangover and baby.
Fresh fruit and whole grains should help you to wake up and feel good.
Put your phone on silent
If not from the beginning of the evening because you can’t face it. At least make sure its on silent and away from the bed when you go to sleep.
You can use sleep focus if you have an iphone (I don’t know what the other brands offer). Ensuring that your not disturbed until the time you set the alarm to go off in the morning.
There is no point in being stressed all night from messages from friends and family. Deal with them in the morning after a good nights sleep.
Write a love note to your partner
This one is just for a little fun. Write something short and sweet that someone can deliver to them in the morning. That makes you smile when writing it and will make them smile tomorrow.
Don’t let the night before your wedding become stressful. Fill it with self care. Everything that can be done is done. There is nothing more for you to do until the morning. Enjoy this last night of being unmarried.
