We always knew we wanted Natalie to do our wedding photos as we love her style and think she is amazingly talented as well as just so lovely. However, I don’t think we realised quite how good they would turn out. To see our happy day and all our loved ones captured so beautifully was quite overwhelming and we have been reliving it again and again as we look through the photos. Natalie noticed every small detail and this is seen in the range of photos. She did the job so effortlessly and was so unobtrusive to the day that we didn’t notice her taking a lot of the photos. Natalie also made us feel so comfortable, confident and relaxed which added to the enjoyment of the day which we feel can be seen in the photos. Faye & Ross are a well known, lovely local couple to Innerleithen. I used to babysit the groom Ross, yes I feel old now but It was so lovely of them and their families to choose me to capture their special day.
The Haining in Selkirk is simply stunning. It was my first ever wedding there and it has everything to offer within the beautiful house and the picturesque views around the gardens.
Ross & Faye fell in love with the Haining in Selkrik when they went to view it and no wonder, it’s like a little hidden gem in the Scottish Borders. I arrived in the morning to the girls all having breakfast and giggles around the table, the room was filled with blue balloons to match the bridesmaid colours and each balloon had a photo memory of the special couple hanging from it, such a cute idea!
I also will never forget the red butterfly that came into the room and landed on Faye’s dress when I was photographing it, a moment caught and I always thought it was a bit of well wishes for these two.
For Ross & Faye’s wedding day the Haining had a marquee set up for their evening and they had some lawn games and an afternoon drinks reception on the lawn, which was fun to photograph. Such a beautiful couple, inside and out and it was such a pleasure to be their photographer!
