Scottish Wedding

Welcome to my Scottish Wedding.

It was strange to be on the other side of the camera!! I am always the photographer and never the bride…until 14th May this year when I married my childhood sweetheart Tosh.

I was a little stressed feeling on the run-up to my wedding. I think that was something to do with it being in our own garden and organizing everything ourselves. But we had some amazing suppliers (listed below) and our fantastic friends and family who were all there to help. And they all made it look amazing!

We were over the moon with how it all came together. How our garden and the local hall looked. It was just what we had wished for and more! We had the best day of our lives. And I know that sounds like a cliché but it really was.

We took everything in, we relaxed, we danced and didn’t stop smiling all day. Seeing everyone having the best time too!!

The weather couldn’t have been better and it felt like we were abroad, in our own garden which was lovely and personal, sipping champagne, Listening to our amazing sax player and having a ball!
I remember looking around at one point on the dance floor.  There was a sea of heads with arms in the air and everyone singing at the top of their voices.  No bums were left on seats, it was like a festival. This is exactly what we wanted. And it made us so happy!

Some highlights were definitely becoming man and wife, with the best humanist Halde. He was so much fun and so relaxed. We didn’t expect to enjoy this part as much. So it was a pleasant surprise how fun it was!

Another highlight was walking down the aisle to a song I had surprised my husband with. And we just stopped and started dancing with our kids. Not planned but one of my fondest memories that I will never forget. Plus our awesome photographer Ben snapped this moment perfectly and I love the photo!
At night my husband Tosh sang Wonderwall on the stage with our band Bleeker. Which they made him get up to do as they knew he would be game for it. After the song, I jumped into the crowd and surfed our friends!

We truly loved every minute of our special day. So did our two kids Alice and Magnus who loved to see mummy and daddy eventually get married. While also being the stars of the show too.

Now that I am married myself I feel even more excited about every wedding. As I now know how it feels. And how amazing it is going to be for the bride and groom and everyone there!!
