It's time to be the bride....

Myself and my partner Thomas have been together for 20 years, yup you heard that right, childhood sweethearts. So why haven’t we tied the knot yet I hear you say?..
I think sometimes when you have been together forever through your teens and into adulthood starting out as friends and growing together you sometimes just miss out the marriage talk entirely and for us it was all about a home, and then a family.
We now have our family complete with Alice who is 8 and Magnus who is 3, and were working on that perfect home part!
When we moved into our forever home on Magnus 1st Birthday two years ago we fell in love with the garden. I mentioned to Thomas if we were to ever marry I would want it to be in our garden, and with our kids being there it would be extra special too. So this year on my birthday he surprised me and popped the question. I said yes and we celebrated with a big family hug and a drink in the hot tub! We have chosen our garden to marry in as we don’t see us moving from this home so why not create some more ever lasting memories in it.

So who is doing my photographs, I hear you ask!!.. I have the lovely Ben Appleby from HBA photography travelling a few hours to capture our big day! Ben was in a wedding photography competition I judged in 2019 in Glasgow, my lab who I am an ambassador for put on a competition to find the wedding photographer of the year which I had won the previous year and I loved Ben’s work so didn’t have to look far!
Well you wrote this last blog on the day we met you near Tetbury. We wish every happiness on the day and ever more. Hope to drop by one day soon. Best wishes Jamie and Catherine
