Best of 2025 Weddings

Enjoy the Best of 2025 as I look back over the year.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. A milestone for me, turning 40 and arranging a year full of trips, parties and family time to mark this special year. It’s also been one of those years that reminds me exactly why I fell in love with wedding photography in the first place. Twenty beautiful weddings, spread across the UK, each one completely unique, each one filled with its own energy, its own story, its own kind of magic. But not only this, a personal special year for me with capturing my sisters’ wedding in September 2025.

This blog is my little time capsule, my “best of 2025”

From the very first wedding in early spring to the last dance of winter celebrations, 2025 gave me everything. Gorgeous couples who trusted me wholeheartedly, stunning venues that set the perfect stage, and the most incredible suppliers who brought each day to life so effortlessly. I’ve worked alongside some truly brilliant people this year, and it always makes such a difference, when everyone is there for the same reason, to create something unforgettable.

But what really stands out? It’s the people.

The weddings that jump out to me have to be the ones that unique moments happened, from dolphins arriving during the beach ceremony, to a dear arriving from the Forrest at another to the most fun party I have ever been at! Couples really know how to make their day theirs, unique and special to them, not necessarily the traditional wedding form. The wedding partying seems to be getting more and more wild as the years pass too, I love it!

And then there’s everything else that makes weddings what they are.

The uncontrollable laughter during speeches. The slightly chaotic, always brilliant energy of kids running around, stealing the show at least once. The grandparents, sitting quietly, taking it all in, sometimes with tears in their eyes, sometimes with the biggest smiles and sometimes rocking it on the dance floor, willingly or not. Those moments hit differently. They carry so much weight, so much love, so much history and so much fun to capture!

There were hugs that lasted longer than expected. Tears that couldn’t be held back. Dance floors that absolutely erupted, some of the best moves I’ve ever seen this year, without question. There’s always that one moment in the evening where everything just lets go, and it becomes pure joy. I love being right in the middle of that.

And the venues… honestly, the UK never disappoints. From elegant country houses to wild coastal backdrops, from grand estates to intimate hidden gems, every setting brought something new. And with that comes the part that keeps me constantly inspired: the unknown. I have captured a lot of Neidpath Castle Weddings in 2025 and have more to come in 2026, this venue never fails to disappoint and I always manage to find new and exciting parts of it to use for photos.

No two weddings are ever the same. No timeline runs exactly as planned. No light behaves quite how you expect it to. And I love that. That unpredictability keeps me present, keeps me creative, keeps me searching for moments as they naturally unfold. It’s in those unscripted seconds where the real magic happens.

Of course, alongside all of that, there’s the art we create together. Slipping away for a few minutes, finding the best light, exploring the surroundings, and making something beautiful in the middle of it all. Those are the moments where everything slows down just enough to create something timeless. It’s never forced, never overdone, just honest, natural, and a reflection of each couple exactly as they are.

That’s what I’ve always wanted my work to feel like. That’s what my couples trust in me when they book, to not have images that look the same as others but ones which are unique to them and their special day.

And now, as I look back through this collection of images, I don’t just see “favourites.” I see stories. I see real memories. I see moments that these couples will hold onto for the rest of their lives.

Because that’s the most important part of all of this. For me this years high was seeing a wedding in a different way, when it is your whole family there and you are working but also fully enjoying your sister and brother in laws day. Hard to do but very special to be able to do for them and design them their album as a wedding gift from me.

Every single couple from 2025 now has their wedding album in their hands. Something tangible. Something real. A way to relive their day, not just how it looked, but how it felt. The nerves in the morning, the excitement, the emotion, the joy, the absolute whirlwind of it all.

And knowing that I played a small part in preserving that… it means everything.

So to all of my 2025 couples, thank you. Thank you for trusting me. For letting me in. For allowing me to tell your story and create something meaningful alongside you. You’ve made this year unforgettable.

Here’s to the laughter, the tears, the wild dance floors, the quiet moments, the love, the magic and everything in between.

2025, you’ve been incredible.
